About us

The story of Kellijane is tied to the story of its founder, Kelly Monk, and about her passion for what she calls the “sanctuary of the home.” After buying her own house in Philadelphia, Kelly struggled to find a home furnishings store that aligned with her sophisticated, eclectic style…the style she wanted to imbue her sanctuary with. With her expectations unmet, Kelly opened Kellijane, a boutique focused exclusively on assembling and providing an unrivaled collection of high-end bed, bath, and table linens.

By marrying her tremendous respect and love for the home with a unique talent to match textiles in a way other retailers and designers could not, Kelly created a home boutique unlike any other Philadelphia has to offer. Throughout its over 15 year lifespan Kellijane has occupied several different locations in prominent Philadelphia neighborhoods Old City and Rittenhouse Square, and now operates out of the Biello Martin Studio in Old City. The cozy and personalized atmosphere of the studio allows Kelly to focus on what she truly loves, working with clients who share a like-minded vision of home as sanctuary where nothing is too fine and there is no compromise on quality or craftsmanship.

Kelly Monk Co-Owner

After buying her own home, Kelly Monk was hard-pressed to find a boutique that met both her expectations and her eclectic style. Capitalizing on her past retail experience in both Philadelphia and New York, she decided to fill the void herself. Setting out to assemble an unrivaled assortment of bed, bath, and table linens, Kelly co-founded Kellijane in 1999.

After 5 successful years in Old City, she moved to the current location just off of Rittenhouse Square in 2004. In a Victorian brownstone on Spruce Street, Kelly designed the store to be a more personalized environment that lent itself to the service level necessary when selling upscale merchandise.

A devotee of all things home-related, Kelly was inspired to become a realtor in 2004. Since then, she has been sharing her extensive knowledge of Philadelphia's neighborhoods and housing trends, as well as her eye for detail and love of design to help her clients find their dream homes.

Pamela Diaconis Co-Owner

A previous Kellijane customer and a life-long textile enthusiast, Pamela Diaconis become a partner in Kellijane in 2006. After nearly 30 years in the home furnishings business in the fields of marketing, importing, and retail she was eager to be able to surround herself with such luxurious fabrics.

Pamela and Kelly share the same vision of providing exceptional textiles in a variety of styles, fabrics, and price points to their discerning clientele in a warm, inviting environment. They like nothing better than helping each client put together a combination for their bedroom, bath, or table setting that is both beautiful and functional.

The author of Scandinavian Country, published by Friedman/Fairfax as part of their Architecture and Design Library in 1999, Pamela also takes on private design clients to assist them in creating rooms that reflect their needs and personality – whether they need help with window treatments and paint, space planning, or just putting on the finishing touches that make a house a home.
